Communities in Schools of Nevada
We are really excited that Robison Middle School will the have Communities in Schools of Nevada program for the 2024-25 school year.
Communities In Schools of Nevada believe that every student, regardless of race, gender, ability, ZIP code, or socioeconomic background should have the support they need to realize their full potential in school and beyond.
So, Communities In Schools of Nevada go where they are needed, inside Title I schools—understanding their needs and listening to their dreams. They know today’s students will be the leaders who guide our society, the entrepreneurs who transform our economy, the workers who drive our industries, the scientists who craft new technologies and the artists who convey our dreams, hopes and concerns.
Nevada students need more than just academic support to succeed in life and school, and Communities In Schools site coordinators take the time to understand the specific needs and unique challenges of each student they interact with. Maybe the student is struggling with homework. Or perhaps they need an empathetic ear when things aren’t so great at home. Working in conjunction with community partners and school staff, CIS site coordinators ensure students’ material and emotional needs are met on a daily basis.
